We can’t count the number of times farm visitors have admired a fine alpaca scarf
or sweater and then asked, “Is this made from your alpacas?” We
always had to say no and explain that we belonged to a fiber coop that combined our donated fiber with that of hundreds of
other farms to make the beautiful end products we offer for sale. And coops are fine. They meet our needs and
produce a variety of products that we, as individual farm owners, would be hard-pressed to manufacture on our own. We decided that being able to offer fine alpaca garments made from the fiber of our own alpacas would be an immense
source of pride and, more importantly, would showcase the ability of small farms like ours to produce value-added end products.

With that goal in mind, Sherry learned to knit. Alan, on the other hand, decided we should purchase
a knitting machine. After a few months, Sherry set her knitting aside and decided she would take it up again when she
retires, but Alan is now producing professional-looking scarves, hats, baby blankets and even experimenting with fingerless
gloves, ponchos, etc. On the following pages are some of the beautiful items
he has made from alpaca yarn as well as some of our natural and hand dyed yarns.
